The Intermediate Course is a two-day standardized course focusing on the application of essential fetal heart monitoring knowledge and skills in intrapartum nursing practice. The Intermediate Course also can be used as a competency assessment to validate the knowledge and skills of experienced nurses.
During the didactic session participants analyze case scenarios using key physiologic principles, interpret tracings, identify nursing interventions, and demonstrate verbal and written communication skills. During the skill sessions participants demonstrate, practice, and are tested on the following skills: auscultation, Leopold's Maneuvers, placement of an intrauterine pressure catheter and spiral electrode, interpretation of tracings, identification of indicated nursing interventions, and communication and documentation.
Successful completion of written examinations and performance of skills evaluations are requirements for completing the program and earning competency validation.
The full-day workshop provides participants with a beginning level understanding of Therapeutic Touch as a beneficial intervention in a variety of settings, from family home care to hospital bedside. Therapeutic Touch is appropriate for care providers in all settings.
This is a two-day course designed to provide core level trauma and psychomotor skills associated with professional nursing care of the trauma patient. This TNCC class has Pre-course requirements; accessing and completing online modules. You will be receiving a follow up email containing an important attachment with information about accessing the modules. Your Pre-course modules and the class completion are required for a Certificate of Completion to be awarded.
